A complete gut renovation transformed this Fifth Avenue apartment into a sophisticated yet masculine abode for the client, an American entrepreneur with multiple residences all designed by the Clarity team. Clarity worked diligently with the architect and builder to craft high-end millwork and incorporate colorful, modern elements that represented the client’s vision. Clarity designed each of the eight rooms in this Upper East Side residence including the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. The exquisite walnut wood in the millwork, and the custom artisan furnishings rugs ground the space. Unafraid of boldness, bright red lacquer was used in the bedroom, and fabrics coat many of the walls, giving off a rich texture. The curated art collection is balanced using mid-century antiques which were utilized to tie in each room and keep the design cohesive.
