This Greenwich Colonial received an updated interior design courtesy of Clarity Home Interiors. The tone of the house was intended to juxtapose darker more masculine tones while remaining welcoming and cozy. Keeping with the structure’s original millwork, Clarity worked off existing details to inspire the entire project. In the living room, the use of leather furniture, lacquer walls, and menswear fabrics such as plaid and wool drapery create a dignified presence without sacrificing the inviting ambiance. Clarity had to get creative when decorating the grand master suite due to the sheer volume of space, and a sitting area was fashioned across from the room’s built-in fireplace. In the hallway leading to the suite, custom cabinetry was designed for additional storage. Custom rugs and mid-century benches with orange detailing tie in the area which acts as a focal point of the upper level.
