New Canaan Classic
The interior design concept of this New Canaan colonial was to marry old with new so Clarity styled the interiors with the client’s existing art and antique collection. In the foyer, custom consoles frame an antique table and purple vase that adds a colorful pop to the otherwise neutral tones. Clarity designed the dining room from scratch, using the client’s antique table to offset the newly upholstered velvet dining chairs. The bright wallpaper gives off a fresh and glam vibe and the ceiling, painted to match the color of the chairs, ties the space together. The open, step-down living room is ideal for entertaining. Clarity incorporated pops of color into the neutral palate through modern art and accessories. The client’s grand piano is a backdrop to the multiple seating areas and the contemporary aspects of the room to meld past and present together.
