Connecticut Waterfront Retreat
This Riverside, Connecticut home sits on a peninsula with triple-sided views of the Long Island Sound. The open floor plan draws inspiration from the vast waterfront and arts and crafts style build. Walls of windows were utilized to create a combined dining room, kitchen, and living space on the main floor where luxury and leisure go hand in hand. Intended as a weekend retreat for a family with grown children to congregate, this house balances sophistication and relaxation for the perfect getaway. All furnishings throughout the interiors were custom-made in beautiful fabrics, woods, and shapes to best encompass the cozy yet refined vibes of the property. The curved dining table resembling a surfboard is one of the many playful details interspersed. The table’s homage to the water gives way to spatial functionality as it coincides with the curved lines of the room’s architecture and can accommodate large and small parties.
