A Parisian Adventure: My Experience at Paris Deco Off

As the founder of Clarity Home Interiors, I’m always seeking inspiration—whether through travel, relationships, or deepening my understanding of design. In January, I had the opportunity to attend Paris Deco Off, a premier event where the world’s top luxury fabric houses unveil their newest collections.

What makes this event so special is that these prestigious brands open their private showrooms, transforming the streets of Paris into an immersive design experience. Against the backdrop of this beautiful city, Deco Off blends creativity, history, and craftsmanship into an unforgettable showcase of what’s next in the world of luxury interiors.

This year was particularly meaningful because I had my daughter, Ashley, by my side—experiencing Paris together made this trip even more inspiring.

What Is Paris Deco Off?

Paris Deco Off is an annual celebration of the finest textiles, wallcoverings, paints, and furnishings. The world’s most prestigious design houses unveil their latest collections in showrooms scattered across Paris, from the charming streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés to the refined elegance of the Right Bank.

Unlike a traditional trade show, Deco Off offers an intimate and immersive experience. Designers can explore collections up close, speak directly with brand representatives, and gain a deeper appreciation for the artistry behind each piece.

For me, this event is about more than just discovering new fabrics and wallcoverings. It’s about inspiration, relationships, and connection. Whether I’m meeting fellow designers at private events, enjoying dinners with my incredible sales representatives, or simply strolling through Paris, every moment feeds my creativity.

Why Paris Deco Off Matters to Clarity Home Interiors

In luxury interior design, staying ahead of trends is essential—but it’s not just about trends. It’s about understanding the craftsmanship, history, and vision behind these designs.

Attending Paris Deco Off allows me to:

  • Discover the Latest Innovations – From intricate embroidery to handwoven textiles and cutting-edge color palettes, this is where the best in the industry reveal their newest creations.
  • Draw Inspiration from Paris – The city itself is a muse, and seeing these collections in person, set against Paris’ stunning architecture and ambiance, sparks endless ideas.
  • Strengthen Industry Relationships – Luxury design is as much about relationships as it is about aesthetics. Meeting with artisans, designers, and brand representatives gives me a deeper understanding of their work, which translates into more exclusive offerings for my clients.
  • Weave Stories into Design – Each brand has a story, and incorporating those narratives into a client’s home adds depth, authenticity, and a sense of history that can’t be replicated.

Showrooms & Brands That Stood Out

One of the most magical aspects of Deco Off is stepping into the private showrooms of iconic brands. Some of my favorites this year included:
Holly Hunt, Pierre Frey, Zoffany, Loro Piana, de Gournay, Fromental, Schumacher, Holland & Sherry, Phillip Jeffries, and Pollack | Weitzner.

Each showroom tells a story through its presentation, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

I also attended exclusive events that made this experience even more extraordinary:

  • Holly Hunt at Hôtel de Crillon – An evening of pure elegance, where their latest introductions were unveiled in one of Paris’ most exquisite settings.
  • Pollack | Weitzner’s Business of Home Event – A celebration of artistry, where I had the chance to see their latest textiles and connect with industry leaders.
  • Benjamin Moore & 200 Lex Annual Dinner at Gigi Ristorante – A night of Parisian glamour, where design, community, and longstanding partnerships were celebrated over an incredible meal.

Each of these moments reinforced why I love what I do and how important it is to stay deeply engaged with the brands that define luxury design.

Bringing Paris Back to Clarity Home Interiors

As I wandered the streets of Paris, soaked in the collections, and deepened my relationships with these incredible brands, I felt a renewed sense of creativity and purpose.

Paris Deco Off reminds me why I do what I do—to bring beauty, craftsmanship, and meaning into my clients’ homes. Whether it’s a particular fabric that caught my eye, a color palette that spoke to me, or a story shared by an artisan, these elements will undoubtedly shape the designs I create this year.

Luxury design is about more than aesthetics—it’s about connection. To the work. To the brands. And most importantly, to the people who will call these spaces home.

Final Thoughts

I’m not sure how many people will read this, and that’s okay—because writing this has been an absolute joy. This year, I want to remember to dream. It’s easy to feel like we’ve accomplished so much already, but there is always more to explore, more to create, and more to look forward to.

And for me, that dream will always bring me back to Paris.
