Coastal Chic, the Clarity Way: From New England Shores to Southern Dreams

At Clarity Home Interiors, coastal chic isn’t a trend—it’s a lifestyle. It’s how we design homes that feel both elegant and easy, layered with texture, grounded in nature, and refined with purpose. Whether you’re gazing out over the Long Island Sound or walking up a shell path in Rowayton, the common thread is effortless sophistication.

We’ve brought this sensibility to life in coastal towns throughout New England—Belle Haven, Westport, Old Greenwich, and Rowayton. And with our sights now set on expanding to the Charleston, South Carolina area, we’re excited to bring our signature clarity and craftsmanship further down the coast.

Fun fact: All three of my children are named after places or people from the Charleston. That stretch of shoreline has always held a special place in my heart. It’s also one of my favorite places to find design inspiration.

What Defines Coastal Chic?

  • A balanced palette: Creamy whites, sea-glass greens, driftwood taupes, and soft blues. We love when nature’s colors sneak inside.
  • Natural materials: Linen, oak, grasscloth, rattan, and stone—materials with soul and texture that patina beautifully over time.
  • Multifunctional, inviting spaces: Window seats made for reading, guest bedrooms with built-in desks, game tables for evening chess or morning coffee, evening cocktails and outdoor living.

Coastal Moments We Love

Belle Haven
Rattan chairs, lemon-patterned roman shades, and custom blue banquettes create a cheerful rhythm layered with curated art and natural light.

Westport
Ombré drapery and a high-gloss navy game table offer a moment to pause and play. Sculptural florals and woven textures keep the tone grounded and joyful.

Old Greenwich
A shoreline kitchen in soft sage cabinetry, brass hardware, and a La Cornue range. The custom oval dining table tucked into floor-to-ceiling windows becomes a front-row seat to the sea.

Rowayton
A newly built guest house, designed to complement a 200-year-old historic main home. Inspired by St. Barths, the interiors feature luxury furnishings by Christian Liaigre, tailored whites, and a cozy guest suite with a desk for working travelers.

Why It Matters

To us, coastal chic means living beautifully—inside and out. It’s about homes that feel collected, not staged.

Spaces where:

  • You nap in the sun and host cocktails on the terrace
  • You open the doors and let the breeze in
  • You gather, recharge, and live fully

Whether your style is traditional, modern, or somewhere in between, our approach is grounded in clarity, craftsmanship, and connection to place.
