Minimalist Darien Modern
Web Copy: Personality breathes life into this modern Darien abode, situated on marsh-like land off the Long Island Sound. When tasked with designing the interiors for this house, Clarity blurred the lines between traditional and modern. Natural textures inspired by the surrounding acreage contrast with vivid colors that showcase the homeowner’s playful attitude. Grass cloth, durable menswear fabrics, and reeded detailing coincide with the taxi-hued cabinetry in the mudroom or the custom multi-colored rug acting as a focal point in the living room. The client’s growing art collection and eagerness towards asymmetry proved vital, energizing the space. Opposing elements, such as minimalistic appliances and neutral colors in the kitchen, mingle with mixed metal hardware to achieve a sense of warmth and comfort.
